ตราสารหนี้ภาครัฐ หรือ พันธบัตรรัฐบาล (Government Bond) คือ ตราสารหนี้ที่ออกโดยกระทรวงการคลัง ธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย และ รัฐวิสาหกิจต่างๆ เพื่อระดมเงินทุน มาใช้จ่ายในกิจการต่าง ๆ ของรัฐบาล ได้แก่
1. ตั๋วเงินคลัง (Treasury bill): เป็นตราสารหนี้ระยะสั้น มีอายุไม่เกิน 365 วัน
2. พันธบัตรรัฐบาล (Loan bond): เป็นตราสารหนี้ระยะยาว มีอายุตั้งแต่ 365 วันขึ้นไป
3. ตั๋วเงินธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย (Central bank bill): เป็นตราสารหนี้ระยะสั้น
มีอายุไม่เกิน 365 วัน
4. พันธบัตรธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทย (Bank of Thailand bond): เป็นตราสารหนี้ระยะยาว มีอายุตั้งแต่ 365 วันขึ้นไป
5. พันธบัตรรัฐวิสาหกิจ (State-owned-enterprise bond): เป็นตราสารหนี้ระยะยาว มีอายุมากกว่า 365 วัน

Corporate Debenture
หุ้นกู้ภาคเอกชน เป็นตราสารหนี้ที่ออกโดยภาคเอกชน โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อระดมทุนสำหรับใช้ในกิจการต่างๆ ของบริษัท โดยที่ผู้ถือตราสารหรือนักลงทุน “มีสถานะเป็นเจ้าหนี้” และผู้ออกตราสารหรือบริษัท “มีสถานะเป็นลูกหนี้” ผลตอบแทนที่ได้จะมีความสม่ำเสมอและแน่นอนโดยอยู่ในรูปของดอกเบี้ยตลอดอายุตามเงื่อนไขที่ระบุไว้ โดยแบ่งเป็น หุ้นกู้ตลาดแรก และ หุ้นกู้ตลาดรอง

What is Fixed Income Securities?
- Fixed Income Security is a type of debt instrument that provides returns in form of regular, or fixed interest payments and repayments of the principal when the security reaches maturity.
Type of Fixed Income Securities
- Government debt securitiesare debt instruments issued by government such as the Bank of Thailand or the Ministry of Finance. There are short-term debt instruments such as Treasury bills, Bank of Thailand bonds and long-term debt such as government bonds, Savings Bonds.
- Corporate debt securities are debt instruments issued by the corporation and sold to investors.
